A Rush of Wings By Kristen Heitzmann

Noelle St. Claire is running away. From what? She doesn't know; her life has always been a wealthy sheltered one. But the fear she feels is so strong she knows its real and she has to get away. Winding up in the small town of Juniper Falls, Colorado feels like time travel to Noelle. A stark contrast to New York. Can she escape her unknown torment by hiding out at the Rocky Mountain horse ranch with common folk?

I think the idea Kristen had for this book was good but the execution poor. The time and relationships Noelle shared with Rick and Morgan do not seem real. I did, however, enjoy the details of the snowy scenery during Christmas time, at the Spencer house. Beautiful. The mystery of Noelle's memory loss didn't capture my attention the way it could've. And, the time Noelle spent at the horse ranch was dull and dragged on. I would give A Rush of Wings 2 out of 5 stars just for its attempt at entertaining me.

I was given a free copy of this book by Bethany House Publishers in exchange for an honest review.

  1. I would've been interested in this book since the setting is in Colorado, but your review definitely makes me reconsider. Thanks for posting.
